Disc jockey
A disc jockey, also known as a DJ, is a person who plays music for other people to dance to or listen to. Think of a DJ as someone who gets the party started!
The DJ will usually have a bunch of different songs on something called a "record" or "CD" (or even a computer nowadays!), and they will use a special machine called "turntables" to play the songs one after the other. They can even combine different songs and sounds to create a totally new and different sound, like a musical artist!
Sometimes, DJs will even speak into a microphone and make announcements, like if they want everyone to come to the dance floor, or if it's time for someone's birthday song. Often, DJs have cool lights and other decorations to make their set-up look really fancy and exciting.
