Disconnection (Scientology)

In Scientology, disconnection means that someone decides to stop communicating with a family member or friend. They do this because the person they no longer want to talk to is not following Scientology beliefs. For example, the person may have spoken out against the Church or tried to stop someone from joining Scientology. By disconnecting, Scientologists can stay loyal to their beliefs and protect their group from people who don't believe the same things.
