ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Discrimination based on nationality

Okay, so do you know how there are lots of different countries in the world, like where you live is one country, and where your grandparents live might be a different country?

Well, sometimes people treat other people differently because of what country they are from. They might think that just because someone is from a certain country, they are different and not as good as other people.

This is called discrimination based on nationality. It's like when you don't want to play with someone because they are wearing a different color shirt than you, except it's a lot more serious because it's about where someone was born.

It's really not okay to discriminate against someone because of their nationality, because it's just not fair. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, no matter where they come from. We should all try to be friends with each other and learn about different cultures and countries.
