Discrimination in the United States

Discrimination happens when people are treated differently because of something about them like their skin color or where they're from. In the United States, people have been treated unfairly because of their skin color, religion, or where they come from. This is wrong because everyone deserves to be treated the same and be given an equal chance at life. Some people in power have done and said bad things which stop people from having an equal chance at life. Laws have been made to make sure people can't be treated differently because of these things, but more needs to be done to make sure everyone is treated equal.
