ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

DnD - Do Not Disturb (Telecommunication)

DND, or Do Not Disturb, is a setting on your phone or computer that tells it to stop making noise or showing notifications. Just like when you're taking a nap and don't want anyone to wake you up, DND is like a "nap time" for your devices. When you turn it on, your phone won't ring, buzz or make any noise when someone tries to call you, text you or send you message. It's like you're putting up a sign that says "please don't disturb me right now". You can still use your phone to make calls or send messages, but you won't be interrupted by any notifications or sounds from other people's calls or messages. When you're ready to be available again, just turn off the DND setting and your phone will go back to making noise and showing notifications like normal.
