ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Dominium mundi

Dominium mundi means "world domination" and it's a big topic that can be a bit complicated for a five-year-old, but I'll try my best to explain it simply.

Have you ever played a game of "king of the hill" where you and your friends try to be the one on top of a big hill or mound? That's kind of like dominium mundi, but on a much larger scale.

Instead of just a hill, people have been fighting for control and power over the entire world throughout history. Countries and rulers have wanted to be the ones in charge of everything and everyone, which is called "dominium mundi".

But it's not just about physical strength or military power. People have also tried to gain dominium mundi through things like economic control, political influence, or cultural dominance.

However, as we've learned throughout history, trying to have ultimate power over the world can have negative consequences, like wars and oppression. So it's important for people to work together and share power, instead of always trying to dominate everything.
