Donburi

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of donburi? It’s a Japanese dish that’s kind of like a big bowl of rice with lots of yummy toppings on top!

So, imagine you have a big bowl of rice. Now, on top of that rice you can put all kinds of things like cooked meat, seafood, vegetables, eggs, and sauces. Some common donburi toppings include beef, chicken, pork, tuna, salmon, shrimp, mushrooms, onions, and eggs.

The toppings are usually cooked separately and then placed on top of the rice in the bowl. Sometimes they’re mixed together with the rice and sometimes they’re arranged in neat little piles on top.

Donburi is a popular and convenient meal in Japan because it’s filling, easy to make, and you can even eat it on-the-go! Some people even make custom donburi bowls with their favorite toppings.

So there you have it, donburi is like a delicious bowl of rice with your favorite toppings piled high on top!
