Dopamine beta hydroxylase deficiency

Hello there kiddo! So, there's a chemical called dopamine in our body that helps us feel happy and motivated. But sometimes our body can't make another chemical called norepinephrine from dopamine which is important for keeping our blood pressure at a good level and our heart healthy. This happens because our body is missing an important protein called dopamine beta hydroxylase (DBH). People who have this problem are said to have a dopamine beta hydroxylase deficiency. This can make them feel dizzy, faint, or have trouble controlling their blood pressure. But don't worry, doctors can help by giving them medicine that helps their body make norepinephrine or by giving them fluids to help their blood pressure stay steady.
