A Dover–Dunkerque (or Dunkirk) train ferry is a boat that can take trains across the sea, without passengers having to get off the train. This means that trains can be moved from England, where Dover is located, to France, where Dunkirk is located, without having to disconnect the carriages and send them over by ferry. On the train ferry, the cars just drive straight onto the boat and then drive off again when they get to their destination. This makes it easier and faster for passengers to travel from one country to the other by train.
