ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Driver's license

A driver's license is a piece of paper that says you are allowed to drive a car.

When you turn 16 (or sometimes older), you can take a test called a "driving test" to see if you know how to drive safely. If you pass the test, you get a driver's license from the government.

You have to carry your driver's license with you when you drive or else you might get in trouble with the police.

You have to follow the rules of the road when you drive, like stop signs and speed limits. If you don't follow the rules, you could get in trouble with the police and your driver's license could be taken away.

Having a driver's license is important if you want to drive a car, but it's also a big responsibility to make sure you drive safely and follow the rules.
