ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Driving without due care and attention

Okay kiddo, so imagine you're playing with your toys and not paying attention to what you're doing. Suddenly, you bump into something or knock over a tower you built. That's kind of like what driving without due care and attention means.

When someone is driving their car and not paying attention to what's happening around them, they could cause an accident by hitting other cars, people, or things. It's important to always be looking around while driving and to focus on the road so that we don't accidentally hurt anybody or damage anything.

Driving without due care and attention is when someone isn't doing that, and can get in trouble because it's dangerous and against the law. So, just like you should pay attention while playing with your toys, grown-ups need to pay attention while driving so that everyone can be safe.
