Drop City was a "hippie" commune in rural Colorado. It was founded in 1965 by a group of people who wanted to live and share resources with each other in a creative way. People built structures out of old car parts and other materials they could find, and did things like farming, art, and music together. They wanted to be part of the counterculture and make the world a better place. Eventually, the commune disbanded, but the legacy of Drop City lives on!
