Drover (Australian)

So, you know how sometimes farmers have a bunch of animals like cows and sheep and they need to move them from one place to another? A drover is like a special person who helps with that.

They ride horses and use dogs to help make sure the animals all move in the right direction. It's kind of like a big game of follow-the-leader. They walk and run with the animals for long distances, sometimes even for weeks!

Drovers are really important because they make sure the animals stay safe and are taken care of while they're moving. They also make sure the animals don't cause any trouble for other people or farms along the way.

In Australia, drovers were especially important because the country is really big and there are lots of places where it's hard to get around. So drovers helped farmers move their animals to new pastures and markets.
