Dunkerley's method

Dunkerley's Method is a way of finding the roots of a mathematical equation. Think of roots as the answers to a problem. For example, if the problem is "What number multiplied by itself equals 16?" the root or answer would be 4, because 4 x 4 = 16.

Dunkerley's Method uses a table to help find the roots of equations. The table is made up of two columns. In the first column, you write down different guesses for the root, starting with zero. In the second column, you write down the result of plugging each guess into the equation.

Then, you compare the second column values with each other to see which one is closest to zero. This value becomes the next guess for the root. You repeat this process until the result becomes very close to zero, which means you've found the root.

So, Dunkerley's Method is a tool that helps mathematicians find the roots of equations by guessing and checking until they get as close to the right answer as possible.
