ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Duplex locomotive

A duplex locomotive is a type of train engine that has two sets of wheels, one in the front and one in the back, kind of like a two-story bus or a double-decker bus. This design allows for more power to be generated, which can make the locomotive go faster or pull heavier loads than a regular train engine. Imagine if you had to push something heavy, like a big box, by yourself. It might be tiring and hard to do. But if you had a friend to help you push, it would be easier, right? That's kind of like what the duplex locomotive does- it has two sets of wheels pushing together to make it stronger and more powerful. It's like having two engines in one!
