ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Dying declaration

A dying declaration is a statement made by someone who knows that they are about to die. It's usually about something important, like who hurt them or what happened in a crime. It has to be something that happened before the person died, and it has to be spoken in a clear, serious way. Because it's so important, the law says that a dying declaration can be used as evidence in court, even if there are no other witnesses or proof. In other words, a dying declaration is one of the most powerful things a person can say before they die, and it's taken very seriously.
