ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Dynamic inconsistency

Dynamic inconsistency is when someone changes their preferences over time, even though the main thing they want hasn't changed. Imagine you're trying to decide if you should go to a movie or a concert. Today, you really want to go to the concert, but tomorrow you could change your mind and decide to go to the movie instead. That's an example of dynamic inconsistency because you want to do something enjoyable, but your preferences keep changing!
