An ear pick, also known as an ear scoop or ear spoon, is a small tool that adults sometimes use to clean their ears.
Your ears have wax in them, which is a natural thing that helps protect your ears from dirt and germs. But sometimes, too much wax can build up and start to bother you, like making your ears feel full or muffled.
When this happens, a grownup might use an ear pick to gently scoop out some of the extra wax. They will be very careful not to push the ear pick too far into their ear, because that can be dangerous!
After they’re done, they will clean their ear pick with soap and water to make sure it’s all clean for next time. But kids should never use ear picks themselves – it’s always best to get help from a grownup when it comes to cleaning your ears!
