Early Earth

The Earth is a planet that has been around for a long time. About 4.5 billion years ago, the Earth came into being. At first, Earth was a very different place than it is today. The air was filled with toxic gases, the land was hot and rocky, and there was no life anywhere. Over time, things began to change. Water started to fill in the oceans and lakes, temperatures cooled, plants and animals evolved, and the planet we call home started to form.
