Early pregnancy loss

Early pregnancy loss means that the baby growing inside the mother's belly has stopped growing and developing before it could become a full-term baby. In simpler terms, it means that the tiny baby inside the mother's tummy has died before it could be born.

Sometimes, this happens very early on in the pregnancy before the mother even knows that she is pregnant. Other times, it happens a few weeks into the pregnancy and can be very sad for the mother and her family.

The reasons for early pregnancy loss can be many - it can happen because of problems with the baby's chromosomes, hormonal imbalances, or infections. However, most of the time, it is not because of anything the mother did or did not do.

It is important to know that early pregnancy loss is quite common and can be very emotionally difficult for the mother and her family, but it is not their fault. If a mother experiences early pregnancy loss, she should know that she is not alone and that she can reach out to her healthcare provider for support and guidance.
