Pregnancy with abortive outcome

When a woman gets pregnant, her belly grows as a tiny baby grows inside her tummy. Sometimes, though, the baby might not be able to grow properly or there might be problems with the mommy's body that make it unsafe to continue the pregnancy. In these cases, the mommy and the doctor might choose to end the pregnancy so that the mommy can stay healthy. This is what we call a pregnancy with an abortive outcome, which means the growing baby is removed from the mommy's tummy before it is fully developed. It's not a happy thing, but it's important to keep the mommy safe and healthy.
