Ebonite

Ebonite is a strong and hard material that is made by mixing natural rubber (which is like a stretchy balloon) with sulfur and heating it up. When the mixture cools down, it becomes hard and stiff like plastic. Think of it like making a cake: you mix different ingredients (flour, sugar, eggs, etc.) and bake them in the oven to make a yummy dessert. Ebonite is usually black in color and it was used a lot in the past to make things like fountain pen bodies, bowling balls, and even jewelry. It's still used today in some industries because it's resistant to heat, chemicals, and electricity.
