Ecological footprint is like a measure of how much of the Earth's resources we use. It includes everything from food, clothes, and electricity, to all the things you do, like taking a bus to work or vacationing in another country. It’s a way to see if we’re using too much of the Earth’s stuff, like water and land, and if we’re polluting it too much. For example, if you go on a long airplane ride and don’t recycle your bottles afterward, your ecological footprint would be bigger because you’re using resources and polluting the environment more than someone who takes the bus to work.
