Ecological Triage is a way of deciding how to best protect nature when we have limited resources to do so. It is like deciding which areas of nature should get help first. For example, imagine a natural disaster has damaged a forest. Ecological Triage would help us decide which areas to restore first, and which areas to leave for later. We would look at which areas have the most wildlife or the most important plants and try to help those areas first. If we're unable to help all the areas, then we use Ecological Triage to make sure we use our resources to do the most good.
