Ecosystem-based management

Ecosystem-based management is the way we use the environment around us in a way that is good for both people and nature. It looks at all the different plants, animals, and landscapes in an area, and how they are all connected and depend on each other. To make sure we are managing our environment in the right way, we have to keep an eye on all the different elements of the ecosystem and make sure they're all working together in harmony. This means looking at the air, water, soil, plants, animals, and even the way people use resources in the area. Ecosystem-based management makes sure that humans don't use too much of the land, water, and other natural resources that all the living things in the ecosystem need to survive.
