ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Education in South Australia

Education in South Australia is all about going to school and learning new things!

First, you have to go to pre-primary when you are 4-5 years old. It's like daycare, but you do activities and learn new things too!

Then, you move on to primary school when you are about 6 years old. In primary school, you have a teacher who teaches you different subjects like reading, writing, math, art, and science. You also have lots of fun playing with your friends during recess and lunchtime!

After primary school, you move on to high school when you are about 12-13 years old. High school is a bit more serious and you have different teachers for each subject. You still learn similar subjects like in primary school, but you also have new subjects like history, geography, and languages. You get more homework in high school, but there are still plenty of fun activities to do with your friends!

Once you finish high school, you can choose to go to university or another type of tertiary education. This means you can study something you are really interested in, like science, art or business, and get a degree.

In South Australia, education is really important and the government works hard to make sure everyone can go to school and learn new things. Now, isn't that exciting?!
