ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Educational stage

Hello there! Today we're going to talk about the different stages of education.

When you start school, usually around the age of 5, you enter what's called "primary school" or "elementary school". This is where you'll learn basic things like your ABC's, how to count, and how to read and write. You'll also start learning about other things like science, history, and art. You'll probably be in primary school for about 6 years.

After primary school, you'll move on to "secondary school" or "middle school". This is where things start to get a little more serious. You'll be in secondary school for about 6 years, too. You'll be learning more complicated things, like algebra and geometry in math class. You'll also learn about different subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, and social studies. You might even get to choose some classes yourself, like music or art.

After secondary school, you'll move on to "high school" or "senior school". This is where things get even more challenging. You'll be in high school for about 4 years. You'll continue to learn about different subjects like math, science, and social studies, but at a more advanced level. You'll also start thinking about what you want to do after you finish high school, like going to college or starting a job.

Finally, after high school, you'll have the option to continue your education by going to college or university. This is where you can focus on a specific subject and start working towards a career in that field. It can be challenging, but it's also exciting because you're getting closer to achieving your goals.

So there you have it! The different stages of education from primary school all the way to college or university. Remember to always work hard and have fun learning new things!
