The efficiency dividend is a way for governments or other organizations to save money. It means that organizations look for ways to do the same job but with fewer people, or to save money in other ways. When they save money by doing this, it's called the efficiency dividend. For example, if an organization has 20 people in an office, and they can re-arrange things so that the same job can be done with 18 people, the organization will save money, and that money is called the efficiency dividend.
