Egg allergy

Okay kiddo, so you know how some people are allergic to peanuts or seafood or other foods?

Well, some people are allergic to eggs too. This means that if they eat eggs or any food that has eggs in it (like cake, cookies, or bread), their body doesn't like it and can make them sick.

When their body sees eggs as bad, it tries to fight them off by making something called an "antibody." This is like a soldier that helps your body fight off germs and other bad things. But in people with egg allergies, these antibodies can be very strong and attack the eggs really hard, causing a reaction.

This reaction can make them have an itchy rash, stomachache, vomiting, or even trouble breathing. That's why people with egg allergies have to be very careful about what they eat and touch.

But don't worry, if someone has an egg allergy their doctor can help them figure out what foods are okay to eat and how to stay safe. And there are lots of yummy foods they can still enjoy that don't have eggs in them!
