Egtved Girl

The Egtved Girl is a very old skeleton that people found in Denmark a long time ago. She was buried over 3,000 years ago, which means she lived a super long time ago, way before our grandparents or even their grandparents were born!

Scientists think that the Egtved Girl was a very special person, probably a princess or someone who was really important. They say this because when they found her, she was wearing really fancy clothes and jewelry that people only wear on special occasions.

The Egtved Girl's body was so old that it was mostly bones, but scientists were able to learn a lot from them. They found out that she was a teenager, probably about 16 years old, and that she was really healthy before she died. They also found some really interesting things inside her tomb, like hair and some plants, which helped them learn more about her life.

Even though the Egtved Girl lived so long ago, scientists still study her skeleton today to learn more about how people lived during that time. It's kind of like a puzzle that they are still trying to put together, and each little piece they learn helps them better understand what life was like for people a really long time ago.
