Ehlers–Danlos syndrome

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is a medical condition that affects how your body makes and uses collagen. Collagen is like the glue that holds your body together, so when it doesn't work right, different parts of your body can have problems.

There are many different types of EDS, and each type can affect the body in different ways. Some people might have very stretchy skin, while others might have weak joints that are easily dislocated. Some people with EDS might get hurt more easily than others, or have problems with their blood vessels, eyes, or organs.

While EDS can't be cured, there are ways to manage the symptoms. This might involve physical therapy, surgery, or using special tools like braces or splints. It's also important to make sure your doctors know about your EDS so they can make the best decisions for your health. And remember, having EDS doesn't mean you can't do things you love – you might just need to do them in a slightly different way.
