Eigenface is a way to identify someone's face that a computer can understand. In a way, it is like a digital fingerprint. The computer looks at someone's face, and it can tell who it is by looking at how their face is put together. It does this by breaking down the face into lots of different parts and creating a numerical code (a series of numbers) that describes the face. This code is called a face space and it can be used to identify a person. In other words, once a computer has the numerical code of someone's face, it can automatically tell who that person is.
