ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Election official

Okay kiddo, you know how when we have a big vote or choose our leaders, we need someone to make sure everything is fair and everyone gets a chance to vote? That's where an election official comes in!

An election official is like a grown-up who makes sure that everyone who wants to vote can do so without any problems. They help people register to vote, make sure the voting machines are working properly, and count all the votes at the end of the day.

They also make sure that everything is done by the rules. For example, they check that people don't vote more than once, and that no one tries to trick or bribe people to vote a certain way.

So basically, election officials make sure that everything is done fairly and that everyone's voice is heard. It's a really important job in our democracy!
