Elections in Germany are like when you and your friends vote for who gets to be the leader in your game. But instead of a game, it's the whole country of Germany!
Every few years, the adults in Germany get to vote for who they want to be in charge of the country. They can choose between different groups or parties, like when you pick who you want on your team.
Before the election, the different groups share what they want to do if they win, like making sure everyone has enough money to buy food and toys, or building more schools and playgrounds. This is like telling your friends what kind of game you want to play and how you want to play it.
On the day of the election, people go to a special place to vote and pick the group or party they like the most. After everyone has voted, the votes are counted and the group with the most votes wins!
The leader of the winning group becomes the leader of the whole country, like the captain of your team. They get to make important decisions that affect everyone in Germany, like how much money they get to keep and how safe they are.
Just like in a game, sometimes the groups don't agree with what the leader is doing and they try to stop or change it. These disagreements are talked about and sometimes they have to vote again to decide what to do next.
