Electric machine

An electric machine is a device that turns electricity into motion. It uses electricity to make something move, like a motor in a car, a fan in your home, or parts in a factory. Electric machines can also turn motion into electricity, like in a generator. Electric machines work by using magnets. Magnets are special pieces of metal that can be used to push or pull on things. When electricity is put through a coil of wire (wires wrapped around together) it can make a magnetic force. This force can then push or pull on another magnet. This is how electricity is turned into motion or motion is turned into electricity.
