Electron beam tomography is a special way of taking pictures of the inside of your body, like when you go get an x-ray. But instead of using radiation to take the picture, it uses electrons.
To do this, a special machine shoots a beam of electrons through your body while you lie very still on a table. The electrons move really fast and can create a detailed image of the inside of your body, like your heart or lungs.
This image is called a tomogram, which is like a 3D picture of your body. It is really helpful for doctors because they can see inside your body and find out if anything is wrong without having to do surgery.
Electron beam tomography is also different from regular x-rays because it can take pictures of really small things, like individual cells. It's kind of like having a superpower that lets you see things you normally couldn't see.
