ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Elephant Flow

Elephant flow is a term used to describe large traffic of data happening on a network. Imagine a river. When lots of data moves across a network, it's like it's being flooded with water - the speed of data going across the network is like a lot of water moving quickly down a river. An elephant is like a giant animal, and when it goes across the river, it causes big waves that can make the river look foamy, just like waves of data change the way a network looks.
