Eliyahu Hanavi Synagogue (Alexandria)

The Eliyahu Hanavi Synagogue is a special place where Jewish people can gather to worship and celebrate. It's located in a city called Alexandria and is very old - even older than your grandparents!

The synagogue is named after a very important figure in Jewish history, a prophet named Eliyahu Hanavi. He was known for bringing messages from God to the Jewish people.

When you walk inside the synagogue, you will see a lot of beautiful things. There may be a big candle called a "menorah" that is lit during special times of the year. There may also be special decorations and symbols that are important to Jewish people, like the Star of David or the Hebrew letters from the Torah.

During services, people will pray and sing together. They will also listen to a person called a rabbi who will teach them about Jewish history, traditions, and religious laws.

The Eliyahu Hanavi Synagogue is a special place for Jewish people to come together as a community and celebrate their faith. Even though it's far away from where you live, it's an important part of Jewish history and tradition.
