ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Embracery

Okay, so you know how it's not nice to try and convince someone to do something they don't want to? Like if you wanted to eat ice cream for dinner but your mom said no, and you kept asking and asking until she finally said okay. That's not a good thing to do, right?

Well, that's kind of what embracery is. It's when someone tries to persuade or influence someone else to do something that they don't want to do. Like if someone was trying to convince your friend to cheat on a test, that would be embracery.

Now, why is embracery not a good thing? Because it's not fair to the person being persuaded. They might feel pressured or trapped into doing something they don't want to do. And it's also not honest - if you have to convince someone to do something, it means they probably wouldn't do it on their own, which means it's not a good choice for them.

So basically, embracery is when someone tries to make someone else do something they don't want to do, and it's not a good thing to do because it's not fair or honest.
