Endangered sharks

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of sharks? They're big fish that swim in the ocean with sharp teeth and fins. Some sharks are really important for our oceans because they help keep the balance, just like how you need to balance when you ride your bike.

But there are some sharks, like the great white or the hammerhead, that are in danger of disappearing from the ocean forever. That means we won't be able to see them anymore and they won't be able to help keep the balance of the ocean.

There are a few reasons why these sharks are in danger. First, some people like to catch them and use them for things like shark fin soup. This is not good for the sharks because they need their fins to swim and without them, they can't survive.

Also, sometimes these sharks get caught by accident when people are fishing for other kinds of fish. This is called bycatch and it can hurt or even kill the sharks.

Another reason why some sharks are endangered is because people are taking away their homes. You know how you like to have your own bed and toys in your room? Well, sharks need their own places to live too, like coral reefs or certain parts of the ocean. But when people build things like big ships or pollution gets in the water, it can make it harder for sharks to live in their homes.

So, we need to work really hard to protect these endangered sharks. That means not catching them or hurting them, and also cleaning up our oceans so they can have a safe place to live. It's important to keep these big fish in our oceans so they can keep the balance and we can continue to enjoy them for years and years to come.
