Endergonic

When something is endergonic, it means that it needs energy to happen. Just like how you need energy to run and play, some chemical reactions need energy to happen. Think of it like a toy car that needs you to wind it up first before it can move. Without winding it up, the car won't go anywhere. In the same way, some reactions won't happen unless they get energy from somewhere else. So, endergonic means a reaction needs energy to happen - kind of like winding up a toy.
