Endophenotype

Endophenotypes are traits that someone can have (like how tall they are) but these kind of traits are something that a person is born with. An endophenotype can be something that's physical like the shape of your eyes or the color of your hair. It can also be something that's not physical like how you think or how you act. People can inherit endophenotypes from their parents or another family member. Knowing endophenotypes can help doctors figure out if someone has a certain health problem and help them treat it.
