Energy cannibalism

Energy cannibalism is when we use energy from one source to create energy from a different source. For example, we use energy from burning a coal or oil to create electricity which we can use in our homes or to power machines. The energy from burning the coal or oil is the energy that gets "cannibalized" or used up to create electricity. Basically, it's like we are taking energy from one place and using it to make energy in a different place.
