ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Energy poverty

Energy poverty is when people don't have access to safe, reliable and affordable energy sources, such as electricity. This means they don't have the energy they need to light their home, cook meals, take hot showers, and do other things that most of us take for granted. This can lead to people living without electricity and having to find other ways to heat their homes, and it can also prevent them from accessing information and other technologies, like the Internet, mobile phones and computers.
