ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Energy conservation

Energy conservation means using energy more efficiently by using less energy to do the same tasks. It is like using the money in your wallet - you don't want to waste it on stuff you don't need, so you look for ways to save it. With energy conservation, you look for ways to use less energy to do the same things. You can do this by turning off lights, appliances, and electronics when you are not using them, unplugging items that don't need to be plugged in all the time, using energy-efficient light bulbs instead of regular bulbs, and having your home and appliances checked for efficiency.
