Engagement

Engagement means how interested and involved people are with something. For example, if you are playing with a toy and you really like it and are having fun, then you are engaged with the toy. If you are watching a movie and it is a really exciting part and you can't look away, then you are engaged with the movie.

Sometimes people talk about engagement when they are talking about social media or websites. This is because they want to know how much people are interested in what they are posting or sharing. If a lot of people like or comment on a post, that means they are engaged with it. If nobody likes or comments on a post, then people might think that nobody is interested in it or engaged with it.

Sometimes companies or organizations want to increase engagement with their customers or audience. They might try to do this by making things more interesting or interactive, or by asking for people's opinions or feedback. This way, they can make sure that people are interested and involved with what they are doing.
