ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

English people

English people are people who come from England, which is a country in Europe. Just like how you come from your own country, there are many people who come from England, and they speak a language called English. It's also the language that we're speaking right now!

Some English people might look different than you, with different hair or skin color, but they're still people just like you. They like to eat different kinds of food, play different kinds of sports and games, and have fun just like you do.

In England, they have their own government and rules, but they're part of a bigger group of countries called the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. So when you talk about English people, you're talking about people from just one part of the United Kingdom.

Some famous English people are the royal family, like the queen, who lives in a big palace called Buckingham Palace, and famous actors like Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, who starred in the Harry Potter movies.

Overall, English people are just like any other people, they just happen to come from a specific country and speak a language called English.
