ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

English-medium education

English-medium education means that the language used for teaching and learning is English. It is when students study and receive teaching in English language in their schools. For example, if you are learning math or history, your teacher will speak to you in English and you will also answer in English.

This is often done in countries where English is not the first language, but it is recognized as a globally important language that is essential for communication, trade, and other fields of work. Learning in English-medium education prepares students for these opportunities both within their home country and globally.

English-medium education can be difficult at first because it means understanding and speaking a new language, but with practice and dedication, it can become easier. Many people who learn in English-medium education go on to do great things in their careers and make connections all around the world.
