ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Enhanced entity–relationship model

Enhanced Entity-Relationship Model (EERM) is a way of describing data and the relationships between different pieces of data. It is like a blueprint for a database. To make it easier to understand, imagine you have a collection of small cubes that each have different colors and shapes. Each cube is like a piece of data, and the way the cubes connect to each other describes how the data is connected. The pieces of data might represent different things in your database, like people, places, or things. EERM tells you what kinds of pieces of data you need and how they should be connected together.
