Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room

Enron was a big company that sold gas and electricity to people in the USA. They were very smart and made a lot of money, but they did some bad things that ended up hurting a lot of people.

One of the smart things they did was make a lot of things automatic using computers. This made it easy for them to do a lot of work quickly and without making any mistakes. They also made a lot of money by buying and selling things like gas and electricity, kind of like how you buy candy and sell it to your friends for more money.

But then, some people who worked at Enron started doing things that were not good. They lied about how much money they were making and how much they were spending. This made it look like they were making even more money than they actually were, and they got really rich from it.

The bad things they did ended up hurting a lot of people, because when the truth came out, the company went bankrupt and a lot of people lost their jobs and money. Some people even went to jail for what they did.

Enron was supposed to be a really smart company, but they did some really bad things that hurt a lot of people. This is why it's important to always be honest and do the right thing, even if you could make more money by being dishonest.
